Schumaker Traded to the Dodgers

With the glowing recommendation of the Dodgers Batting Coach the Dodgers finally made the deal with the Cardinals to trade their minor leaguer Jake Lemmerman for Skip Schumaker. With this trade the Dodgers filled their need for a bench player. The Cardinals recieved Lemmerman just to fill a spot for one of their minor league teams. Jake was on the Dodgers top prospect list back in 2011. He hit 8 HRs....54 RBI and had a .293 batting average. In 2012 Lemmerman was bumped up to the Lookouts. While there he had a modest year. He hit .234 batting average and still managed to drive in 11 runs over 21 games. Not sure what kind of plans the Cardinals have for him. Jake is young, at the age of 23. He is a natural at short stop, but can play second base and third base.
